Serendipity School seeks an inspiring music teacher who is responsible for teaching music education to students in grades K-5th Grade as well as guiding students in the process of rehearsing for and presenting musical performances.
JOB DESCRIPTION The Serendipity Music program, rooted in the Orff approach, embraces a developmental method that seamlessly integrates music, movement, and drama, and into the lessons Central to the program's philosophy is the belief that every student should engage with music critically and emotionally to establish a robust foundation for lifelong musical exploration.
Students are encouraged to express themselves through various facets of musical education--singing, exploring diverse ways of moving to music, experimenting with the steady beat, playing instruments, and honing the ability to listen, discuss, and respond thoughtfully to music.
We believe in nurturing a profound appreciation for the art form and laying the groundwork for a lifetime of musical expression.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND FUNCTIONS:
Design, plan and implement music instruction to all students K-5th Grade with an emphasis on generating creativity, encouraging skill-and-confidence building, and creating a supportive environment for collaboration and experimentation Assume professional responsibility for providing learning experiences in various aspects of music in a supportive and positive climate that develops in each student the skills, attitudes, and knowledge Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, positive student behavior management, a commitment to supporting social emotional learning, and to creating a nurturing and respectful classroom climate Demonstrate personal skills and creative talents in music, including proficiency with a musical instrument Provide a variety of learning experiences so that students demonstrate skills and concepts learned through individual and group performances Plan, rehearse, and direct students in musical performances for the school, which include singing as well as the possible integration of drama, dance, and instrumentals Differentiate music curriculum to meet the needs of the individual student and student body Establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons and projects Prepare teaching materials and reports to implement lesson plans and provide documentation of student progress including student report cards completed on a trimester basis Communicate in a positive, cooperative, and mutually supportive manner with students, parents, teaching staff, administration, and other members of the community Maintain care/responsibility for school-owned equipment and musical instruments Other job duties include, but are not limited to participating in faculty meetings and parent meetings, and attending field trips and other school-wide events Job Type:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
