As a Developer Relations Engineer, your daily job will involve engaging and collaborating with developers to help them be successful as they develop their applications using RingCentral Developer API and tools. You will write reference applications, sample code, client libraries, and tutorials that assist developers on using our products through our developer API. You will engage with external developers in developer forums, mailing lists, support calls and in person to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter. As an ardent advocate for these developers, you will represent their voice internally to our Product Managers and Product Engineering teams and serve as their support in application development and technology implementation. You will help improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs and testing new features from an external developer's point of view.
Responsibilities:
Interact with external developers in developer forums and support queues.
Assist external developers in troubleshooting their integrations with RingCentral Developer APIs
Investigate, research, understand and resolve user problems working with engineering team and product managers as needed.
Provide timely, accurate and complete solutions.
Write reference applications, sample code, client libraries and tutorials.
Build strong ecosystem for developer products by blogging, writing technical articles and working with local developer communities.
Help product engineering teams improve developer products by conveying feedback from developers and reviewing API.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills and people skills. Must be diplomatic and cool under pressure.
Strong technical skills. Expertise in building applications using REST APIs and HTTP.
Strong in one or more of the following: JavaScript, Python, PHP.
Possess a can-do, no-problem-too-big-or-too-small attitude.
Willing and able to dive in to solve developer problems and be fully hands-on fixing and writing code.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
